Baiyunyuan Primary School Held “2020 American Class Immersion” Lecture

In the cold afternoon of December 20, 2019, it was as warm as spring in the report hall on the second floor of Nanjing Baiyunyuan Primary School, where “2020 American Class Immersion” publicity activity was being held. The students of Grade 5 and Grade 6 and their parents were invited to attend the event.

First of all, the teacher, Ms. Gu Qian introduced the partnership of Sino-US education cooperation -- Wisconsin School Districts Alliance.

Since 2013, Wisconsin School Districts Alliance has been working on promoting Sino-US education exchange activities in China. It has also established strategic partnership with tens of Chinese education bureaus in multiple cities like Shanghai, Nanjing, Suzhou, Ningbo, Hefei and so on. The key program includes: 156 sister school relationship has been established between Chinese and American schools; Over 800 Chinese students participate in Spring, Fall and Winter American Class Immersion and Summer Academy, increasing by year; Over 50 American teachers and experts in education come to China and hold a two-week long lecture; Over 1000 Chinese students have participated in American Summer Camp in China to experience genuine American class without leaving China; Over 100 American students participate in Chinese Class Immersion, increasing by year; Wisconsin School Districts Alliance welcome over 20 Chinese Education Investigation Groups from all over China.

Then Ms. Gu Qian introduced a series of communication preparations and some communication activities that have been carried out by the school since January 2019, when the Sino-US education cooperation program was introduced under the leadership of the international department of Nanjing Education Bureau.

The school also had the honor to invite Mr. Qiao, the representative of the China representative office of Wisconsin School Districts Alliance, who is very familiar with American culture and has accompanied Nanjing Education Bureau to visit the United States for many times.

Mr. Qiao first introduced the basic situation of Wisconsin School Districts Alliance and School District of Janesville. Wisconsin ranks among the top 10 states by educational resources. School District of Janesville has a complete curriculum and program for student learning and growth. Mr. Qiao spoke to parents and children about the purpose of the activity, school curriculum, schedule and pre-trip services.

 The school also hopes that through such communication activities, students can go deep into the United States, visit American cities and schools on the spot, learn about American life style, culture and customs, enrich students' personal experience and broaden their horizons.
