The 2nd American Summer Camp in China

On July 3,2018, the Second American Summer Camp in China were held in Zhangjiagang Liangfeng International School.Seven American teachers from Rochester Community Schools USA and two from Unified School District of Marshfield USA, came to Zhangjiagang Liangfeng International School, to conduct a one-week summer camp activities.

Students from Zhangjiagang Bailu Primary School and Zhangjiagang Experimental Primary School took part in the summer camp.American science teachers divided 173 students into eight classes, and they wereClass of Harvard, Class of Yale, Class of Cambridge, Class of Oxford, Class of MIT, Class of Stanford, Class of Princeton, Class of Columbia.The teachers brought STEM, spoken dialogue, art appreciation, American culture, drama, listening training and other courses with American characteristics into China.

On the afternoon of July 3, the Chinese teachers held a warm reception for the friends from afar, and warmly welcomed them.

On the morning of July 4, upon arriving at Zhangjiagang Liangfeng International School, the nine American teachers attended the opening ceremony of the summer camp activities, together with students from Zhangjiagang Bailu Primary School and Zhangjiagang Experimental Primary School.

It was the first time that the students met these American teachers, but they felt as if they were close friends, and soon got along well.

Leaders from Zhangjiagang Bureau of Education, Principal Wu from Zhangjiagang Bailu Primary School, Principal Liu from Zhangjiagang Experimental Primary School, and leaders from Zhangjiagang Liangfeng International School, also attended the opening ceremony.
