Like you, I am new to the college and am both anxious and excited about the journey we are setting out on. Any journey can be fraught with hurdles and obstacles that could derail us; however, the Blackhawk Technical College team is here to help. Recent renovations at the Center for Transportation Studies, the Health Sciences and Student Success wings at Central Campus, and at the Advanced Manufacturing Training Center in Milton, combined with the investment in state-of-the-art equipment, places Blackhawk Technical College second to none. In addition, the Monroe Campus and the Beloit Center provide services and programs that are innovative and focused on service to our community. The Blackhawk Technical College central campus is located midway between the cities of Beloit and Janesville on approximately 80 acres (32 ha) of partially wooded rolling prairie. BTC offers approximately 50 programs leading toward an associate degree, technical diploma, certificate, or apprenticeship. While the majority of classes are held at the central campus, classes are also offered at the Center For Transportation Studies located north of Janesville, the Beloit, Wisconsin Center and at the Monroe, Wisconsin campus. In addition, Blackhawk Technical College has classrooms at the Rock County Job Center. The college serves approximately 14,000 students annually–about 6,000 credit and 8,000 non-credit students.

BTC has five campus locations in Janesville, Beloit, Milton and Monroe, WI.  Classes are small and friendly, taught by instructors who are at the leading edge of their respective fields.  This unique level of personal interaction and engagement is a signature characteristic of a BTC education. 

Locations:

Beloit Center 
The Beloit Center is conveniently located at the Eclipse Center in downtown Beloit, 50 Eclipse Center, Beloit, WI 53511-6270. The Center provides basic academic and GED/HSED instruction, remedial education, classes for English Language Learners, as well as general education and community education courses.  

Center for Transportation Studies 

Located immediately (about one-quarter of a mile) west of the intersection of highways 14 and 51 north of Janesville [at 1740 Highway 14 West], this 30,000 square-foot facility houses two large shops for the Diesel and Heavy Equipment Technician and Automotive Technician programs, three classrooms, a library, microcomputer lab, and a student lounge. Agricultural and apprenticeship classes are also held at the center, as well as many non-credit offerings.

Central Campus 

The Central Campus is located midway between Beloit and Janesville. Situated on over 80 acres of partially wooded prairie, the campus is home for most of BTC’s programs and services. The campus is easily accessible from Prairie Road (County Highway G) and Highway 51. It includes instructional classrooms, shops and labs for general education courses, GED/HSED instruction, community education as well as BTC's Health Sciences, Business and Protective Services divisions.  .

Monroe Campus 

The Monroe Campus is located just off Highway 11 at 210 Fourth Avenue, Monroe, WI 53566-1033, phone (608) 328-1660. This friendly, full-service, handicapped-accessible campus has four computer labs equipped with state-of-the-art computer equipment, a distance learning lab designed for global classroom connections, fully equipped nursing, nursing assistant, phlebotomy and science labs, and general classrooms. The Campus offers a selection of full associate degrees, one year diplomas and short term certificates, as well as all general education core courses.

Advanced Manufacturing Training Center
The Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, a 105,000 square feet, state-of-the-art facility, is located at 15 Plumb St., Milton. The latest BTC campus opened in August 2014 and currently houses the Welding, Computer Numerical Control, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Electro-Mechanical Technology, HVAC/R, Manufacturing Information Technician, and Computer Service Technician programs that are part of the Advanced Manufacturing and Transportation division.
