Michigan State University

Michigan State University, or MSU for short, was founded in 1855 and is located in East Lansing, Michigan. It is a world-class public research university, a member of the American Association of Universities (AAU), and is known as a "public ivy" university.

The university ranked 84th in U.S. News 2020 undergraduate comprehensive rankings, 34th in National Top Public Universities rankings, 80th in Thames Higher Education World University rankings, and 92nd in ARWU rankings by Shanghai Jiao Tong University. US President Barack Obama signed a federal bill there.

Michigan State University has more than 30 members of the National Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Engineering, the Academy of Education, and many Nobel Prize winners. Numerous majors in the school are among the best in the country, including education, agriculture, media theory, packaging, music therapy, garden architecture, management, and environmental science.
